Mechanisms
The teletank worked using pneumatics, electric relays, and radio signals. It was controlled by a controller tank from 500-1500 meters away, but the maximum distance the controller tank could be at depended on the weather at the time, and the radios in a teletank could stop working if there was another signal nearby. Teletanks were equipped with many different types of weapons including chemical weapons and flamethrowers. They also had smoke canisters to leave a smoke screen and carried one bomb each that could destroy enemy fortifications. It also had either a Hotchkiss 8mm machine gun or a 37mm puteaux gun.The teletank moved when a compressor pumped air into a special balloon. The air would then move the pistons controlling the treads. All of this was controlled using electromechanical relays. The radios that were in each tank were tube radios so they would not get interrupted by the shaking of the moving tank. Also, if a teletank ever got captured, it could self-destruct so the enemy wouldn't have it. In addition to all of this the teletank also had 50mm armor shields and a heavy undercarriage to protect it. With all these weapons the teletank was one of the deadliest tanks of it's time. However, the tanks' unusual size made it look less intimidating. This was a good thing though because it was very maneuverable and fast.
